Happy National Taco Day (USA)!

Did you know the word “taco” literally translates to “plug” or “wad” in Spanish, as it was originally a name Mexican miners used to describe thin sheets of paper wrapped around gunpowder used in the mines?

Our love affair with everything authentically Mexican shows no sign of slowing down – Americans reportedly consume over 4 billion tacos each year; and the world’s biggest taco was made in 2011, and was a whopping 246 feet long!
