  • Share
The countdown to Christmas has started – and so has the SQF Advent Calendar! Every day we’ll bring you either a fact of the day or a festive recipe card, so keep visiting our website and follow us on social media to see what we’re up to this festive season!

It’s the twenty-second day on our advent calendar – three days to go! Christmas is definitely time to indulge in the sweeter things in life (before the diet starts in the New Year, or before the Veganuary challenge starts!) – so dive into our cookie dough pizza completely guilt free!

Cookies are one of the most popular sweet treats in the world today – the USA leads the world as the biggest cookie bakers and eaters, spending more than $550 million annually on Oreos alone! The chocolate chip cookie is by far  America’s most popular cookie however, with 53% of Americans naming it their favourite – and they should know, as the average American eats 35,000 cookies in their lifetime!

The largest cookie ever baked measured 754 m² and was baked by the Immaculate Baking Company in Flat Rock, North Carolina on 17 May 2003. The chocolate chip cookie weighed 18 tonnes and had a diameter of 30.7 m – whilst our recipe isn’t quite so filling, it’s still scrumptious for the run up to Christmas!
